I went to class today so you don’t have to. Here’s what I learned:

1. There is a person named “Professor” who stands up at the front and talks for a really, really, really long time.*

*(approximately 50 minutes).

2. There will be a lot of seats in the room. You don’t have to sit in all of them.

3. Many people have these “devices” that make marks on paper or a screen. I spent all class trying to figure out how to hold one.

4. Gluconeogenesis is the short term synthesis of glucose from non-carbohydrate precursors, such as pyruvate, lactate, glycerol, and glucogenic amino acids, and primarily occurs in the liver during fasting.*

*I think this has something to do with the devices the students hold because they started hitting them after “Professor” said that.

5. Sometimes the “Professor” says things called “questions” and stares at you until you say something back.

6. They are allowed to give you a stack of papers stapled together called a “midterm.”

7. The Wordle today is “soupy.”

8. After class, some students talk to “Professor.” I suspect it is because “Professor” is lonely and does not have many friends.

9. At some point, everyone will decide to leave the classroom and won’t return for 48 hours. No one knows where they go.

Some of her pet peeves are redundancy, which means repeating the same thing over and over again, and repetitiveness, which means being redundant. Critics have described her as “legit awesomeness” and “awesomeness level maxxed out.” Fans have described her as “…”. This is because fans don’t talk. At least not the ones that create a wind-chill effect by circulating air.
