Yesterday, a day full of Irish fun and celebration turned terrifying after a UNC student made a drastic misstep. 

After mistaking St. Patrick’s day with what she calls “National Chase Gingers day,“ Sally Stephenson charged a group of redheads outside of Wilson Library. The stampede made it to Franklin Street’s very own He’s Not Here until Stephenson realized her mistake. 

Three gingers ended the night with scraped knees. All were victims of atrocious sunburns. 

To all those I’ve hurt, I really am so sorry. I must’ve marked my calendar wrong,” Sally Stephenson said when asked to comment. 

The Redhead Community, however, has not been as forgiving as Sally might have hoped. 

Eoghan (pronounced “O-wen”) McMatthews recounted the tragedy saying, “It was frightening. My friends and I were just trying to enjoy St. Patrick’s day. She came out of nowhere!”
